School Opening and Closing Times
  • School begins at 9.00a.m (Pupils are not to be dropped to school prior to 8:50 a.m on any morning as supervision is not provided prior to that time and therefore the school cannot accept any responsibility for pupils dropped to school prior to this time. Pupils go directly to their classrooms on arrival at the school  from 8:50 a.m onwards. Formal instruction starts at 9a.m sharp. 
  • Junior and Senior Infants finish school at 1:40pm each day;
  • All other classes (1st to 6th class) finish at 2:40 p.m.
  • There is a short break at 11 a.m.
  •  Lunch break is from 12:30p.m to 1p.m.
6th class Blackberry Picking in Autumn in the field adjacent to the school. 
1st and 2nd class attending an art exhibition as part of the 'Artists in Schools' scheme in Abbeyleix Library.
