Active School Week
April 29th - May 2nd!
We decided to hold our Active School Week in May this year and we were extremely lucky with the weather. The pupils of Scoil Fionntáin Naofa got to engage in a wide variety of activities and sports throughout the week and finished the week off with a Marathon Run and Table Tennis Tournament. Well done to all the pupils and staff for making it a fun filled, action packed week!

Jumping Jacks were one of the many fundamental movements and exercises explored during Monday's HIIT sessions with Mr. Watson. We also included some HIIT workouts in the morning 'Wake Up Shake Up' slots.
A huge thank you to Ms. Burnell who took all of the classes for Tennis Lessons. All children showcased fantastic skills and really enjoyed the sessions.
The pupils from all classes loved the Orienteering lessons organised by Mrs Cahill. The lessons incorporated both academics and Physical Activity.

Marathon Run!
The pupils from all classes participated in a Marathon Relay run where the pupils took turns running a 100m circuit. In total, the pupils from all classes ran the circuit 420 times which added up to a total of 42 km. The final lap was completed by our oldest and youngest pupil who ran the final lap together before crossing the finish line. The pupils completed the Marathon relay in a time of 3 hours and 14 minutes which was an excellent timing.
